Yapoujian wins Super 32
Mile High Wrestling Club has the rare honor of being home to a winner of the prestigous Super 32 wrestling tournament. Colton Yapoujian took the title in the middle school division this past weekend in North Carolina. Other MHWC wrestlers who attended to tournament were Trenton Watson, John Crowley, and Emilio Martinez. Martinez was one round away from placing, while Crowley and Watson each went 4 rounds deep in the tournament.
While Colton was winning in NC, his brothers were competing in Iowa along with a handful of other MHWC wrestlers. Lain Yapoujian walked away from Preseason Nationals as a National Champion. Wyatt Yapoujian and Vince Cornella each took 3rd place in the youth brackests, and Beau Hostler took 4th place. In the high school division three teammates from Broomfield HS all medaled -Nick Babcock came home with a 5th place, John Stelling took 7th, and Theo Robison took 8th place.
Congrats to all the guys who competed this weekend. The Kickoff is just a few weeks away for the little guys, and the high school season is right around the corner. Lets make sure we are all prepared to compete!
